CELE says just 4% of bills introduced from January to June

CELE's Legislative Observatory reported that 4.0% of bills introduced in the region between January and June 2026 were classified as cybersecurity measures. The figure helps frame the relative weight of this legislative agenda as Chile consolidates the rollout of its Cybersecurity Framework Law 21.663 and Brazil broadens the ANPD's regulatory scope through the Digital Child and Adolescent Statute.
